Time needed: 3 sessions to introduce/research tall tales, fact vs. fiction. 3 days to produce digital product.
Short description of the lesson: Students read a selection of tall tales and explore historical facts. Look at fact vs. fiction in the tall tale. Create digital project showing fact/fiction in their own tall tale.

Online application used & other possibilities (include notes like: use the “edu version”, you can create your students’ accounts) Kerpoof (need account to save movies - some cost may be involved).
OR use Photostory to create slides showing fact vs. fiction.

Lesson Title: Current Events Discussion
Time needed: 1 month
Short description of the lesson: Each project team will choose a current events topic (global warming, natural disasters, political elections, health care issues, homelessness, etc.) to research. Create a VoiceThread conversation with each team members contributing their fact. Invite another team to listen to the Voice Thread and record their opinions based on the given facts.
